About the worK

“Weathering” is an exploration of the powerful and intricate forces of nature. This body of work is inspired by the dynamic patterns and phenomena that shape our world—from the ephemeral beauty of sundogs and the relentless impact of sleet, to the dramatic destruction of regional storm systems. Through these paintings, I aim to capture the essence of these natural events and the ways they transform landscapes over time.

Each piece in this series is a meditation on the tension between chaos and order, the constant interplay of creation and erosion. My process is deeply influenced by the meditative act of making, where each brushstroke is a response to the forces I seek to depict—much like how weather carves, builds, and reshapes the earth.
